Photographic Philosophy: Create a narrative with original or appropriated images, accompanying text can be titles, captions, a short fiction piece or a factual analysis. [Week 6]

Earlier in the lesson the topic of conversation we talked about was connection, contexts, relevance between photography and narrative. It was briefly discussed that film is a connection between photography and narrative, because its basically creating clips of the photography to create an narrative essentially. Also spoke about the idea the photograph is a document.
To create a narrative, we were given roughly about six to seven random images to work with. We started by separating the images apart to see if we could create a realistic connection between them to use in the narrative. After doing so, we noticed that there were only 3 images that look like they could possibly be connected, so we just went those 3 images. The colours in the images all looked similar with a warm yellow tone. The 3 images we chose to use were, someone looking out a window, an empty space in an home and someone laying on bed sleeping. For the narrative we decided to tell the story from a child’s point of view. Speaking of the empty space, as being his home ever since he could remember and his father who’s always drunk passed out sleeping on the bed and his mother always looking out the window wanting to leave the situation they are in, hoping and imagining for a better life for her and her son.
