Studio Workshop

Project 01: -Main objective is to visualise the basics of design only compositional typography as an element of point, line, and form.  (October 21,14)

Using the squares as a frame, experiment with pleasing, eye-catching and readable arrangements which use the type provided in combination with a filled circle to make composition within the space.

Method: The methodology is cut-and-paste using photocopies, this will allow you to try lots of arrangements before you select the best for your final paste up layouts.

We were allocated an area of London to document Crimes Against Design in a thoroughly convincing manner. Photography, video and ephemera are often used as ‘evidence’ in different investigation methods to speculate and implicate specific truth claims about what we are seeing versus what potentially or actually is desired.

Our team’s challenge through critical reflection is to decide what is good and bad, useful and not useful about the design seen.
